How to fight thrombosis?

Thrombosis occurs when a blood clot – so-called thrombus, forms inside blood vessels. Depending on where it is formed, it partially or completely obstructs the blood flow through the arteries. Medical practice has noted that it most often forms in veins, while thrombi in the arteries can lead to a heart attack or stroke and create serious problems.

In the fight against thrombosis, regular movement (daily physical activity) is necessary because a thrombus can form even when a person does not move – when sits or lies down for too long after an operation or illness.

Also, it is necessary to drink as much water as possible, because thick blood can be a good basis for blood clots formation. Sufficient amounts of water contribute to the proper blood density.

Vitamin E is a natural blood thinner, so it is necessary to eat foods that contain it in sufficient quantities. These are primarily corn, olives, broccoli, almonds…

Among the spices, turmeric has been shown to be a natural ingredient that prevents the blood clots formation. People who have such problems should use it as much as possible in their diet, and it is convenient to take it as often as possible and preventively.

Olive oil is considered a food that should be used preventively, because it reduces the risk of blood clots. Flaxseed oil is also recommended.
